why do we do it

Special needs ministry is rewarding, but it can also be challenging. If we don’t start with the “why” behind what we’re doing, we might be tempted to give up or turn certain families away. We need to build a foundation of Truth that will sustain us through the difficult times and keep us looking to God for help and support. If you are on the brink of burn-out, go back to the basics. Remind yourself why we do what we do and then move to the “what” and “how”. And then share this vision with others! The world needs to see individuals with special needs through a new lens. That’s the only way change will come!
